Backup Policy

Portlandia Cloud Services has a very simple policy on backup.
 
We retain only as much data as is needed to restore the service in case of an outage such as a crash.
 
What this means is that if you contact us asking to restore the email message that you deleted 4 months ago, we CANNOT do it simply because we do not have a backup of it.
 
We do not retain e-mail backups for more than a day or so. If you need to have long term retention of email then you must tell us this during account creation. We then will offer a more expensive business account that has this feature, or discuss other options with you.
